Name: Mads M. Petersen
City: Copenhagen
Occupation: Co-founder of Mandatory Copenhagen

What do you do for recreation?
I travel as much as I can. I recently booked a solo trip to Bali to disconnect and embrace the Bali Time Chamber. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with what truly matters and coming back refreshed.

If you were to do something other than what you do for a living today, what would that be?
I have a passion for anything with an engine, so I would definitely explore opportunities in the automobile industry.

What was the last gift you got for yourself?
I purchased a 1943 Ola Harley Davidson that served in the Canadian army during World War II. It brings me immense joy, until it breaks down, which happens quite often.

What was the last gift somebody gave you?
I just returned from Tuscany, where my oldest daughter gifted me a marble wine stopper. I absolutely love it!

What is your biggest vice, and how do you deal with it?
Too much of the good stuff, whether it is good food or good wine. Finding a balance is always a thing and like everybody else I deal with it when it is necessary and when there is time.

How do you navigate through difficult situations?
I seek outside advice and take time to reflect on it before taking action. I find that I produce my best work under pressure and in challenging situations.

Name one of your favourite people in the world and why this person is one of them?
My wife is one of my favorite people. I admire her greatly; she is so different from me and has a remarkable ability to navigate my ADHD. Additionally, she has given birth to our two beautiful children, which deepens my admiration for her.

What do you do to stay/get in shape?
I'm not currently in the best shape, but I do what I can. Right now, I enjoy going for walks with my dog and aim for 10,000 steps a day. It’s a work in progress!

What was your proudest moment and why?
On a personal level, I am proud of reconciling with my wife after being divorced for 3.5 years. It’s a testament to our commitment that we were able to work things out and be blessed with a second child together. Professionally, I take pride in my ability to navigate different markets, especially during challenging times.

Which city is cooking you the best meal and where?
Bangkok is currently my top choice for amazing meals! I can't pick just one dish, as the city continually surprises me with its diverse and exceptional culinary offerings.
