Name: Lisette Rützou
City: Taarbæk
Occupation: Owner and designer at Lisette Rützou
What do you do for recreation?
I spend a lot of my time in the kitchen. I always find peace while cooking.
If you could do something other than what you currently do for a living, what would it be?
Psychology could be it; it has always interested me.
What was the last gift you gave yourself?
Time with my girls! It is the greatest gift ever.
What was the last gift someone gave you?
My partner gives me this gift every morning, just by being there when I wake up.
What is your biggest vice, and how do you deal with it?
Overthinking! It keeps me up all night. When that happens, I need to go for a run or spend some time alone.
How do you navigate through difficult situations?
I navigate with the understanding that we are all different. This perspective makes challenging situations easier to comprehend and endure. I believe in being curious, working hard, and remaining open to challenges.
Name one of your favorite people in the world and explain why this person is special to you?
I can’t single one out because I have many favorite people, and naming just one would exclude others. However, like most people, my closest friends and family are naturally among my favorites.
What do you do to stay/get in shape?
I hike, run, and practice reformer Pilates for my physical health. For my mental well-being, I enjoy spending time with my family and treating friends to delicious food.
What was your proudest moment and why?
My proudest moment was starting from scratch, completely alone, with my brand, Lisette Rützou. I was pushed to my limits, but a special person believed in me, which meant the world to me. Thank you, darling.
Which city serves you the best meal, and where?
Pietrasanta, Italy. I absolutely love a good branzino with oven-baked tomatoes.
