…at Fatamorgana (Denmark's School of Photographic Visual Arts), using those skills to become an accomplished artist showcased in numerous exhibitions represented by Soussan, and, as the cherry on top, becoming one of the most sought-after models in her late thirties. The kindest and always a joy to run in to. Here are this powerhouse's 10 Questions!
Name: Ida Ellinor Hermansen
City: Copenhagen
Occupation: Artist & Model
Spirit Animal: Wolf
What do you do for recreation?
I read, sleep, and take long walks with my camera. This is my formula for taking care of my introverted side and calming my nervous system. I’m very sensitive, so I do this when I feel overwhelmed.
If you could do something other than your current profession, what would it be?
Astrophysicist. Imagine working with the fundamental questions about the origin and development of our universe. Our limited understanding of the cosmos must call for both humility and ongoing curiosity.
What was the last gift you gave yourself?
I just turned 40, so I bought myself a silver ring made from recycled silver with a clear amethyst stone. I wanted to carry the energy of grounding and calmness with me physically.
What was the last gift someone gave you?
Bike lights. It made me very happy because, when you think about it, it's a very thoughtful gift.
What is your biggest vice, and how do you deal with it?
An uncontrollable craving for sesame flavoured ice cream mochi.
How do you navigate through difficult situations?
I’d like to quote Stanley Kubrick here:
"The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile, but that it is indifferent. However, if we can come to terms with this indifference, then our existence as a species can have genuine meaning. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light."
I try to find the positive side of things. One thing I’m actively working on is focusing on what I can control, rather than what I can’t.

Name one of your favorite people in the world and why they are one of them.
I’m happy you said "one of," because I have many extraordinary people in my life, and they all mean just as much to me. But if I had to emphasize one person, it would be my friend Moussa. Besides putting himself out there to fight for systemic change, he is a true friend—kind, loyal, and someone who holds you accountable for being the best version of yourself.

What do you do to stay/get in shape?
EMS (electronic muscle stimulation) at M Studio in Frederiksberg. I can’t recommend it enough.
What was your proudest moment and why?
Choosing to walk a different path than the one I originally set out on, which led me to truly find myself and start a more authentic journey.
Which city is cooking you the best meal, and where?
Tokyo. There are so many great places to eat, but my first dinner there stands out. I had an amazing meal at FUKU Yakitori, a small and intimate spot where you can sit at the counter (my favorite type of seating). You can sip sake or cold beer, and one delicious dish after another is served right in front of you.
